CTET Application Process
Application Form 2024
To apply for CTET 2024, candidates must follow these steps:
- Visit the official CTET website www.ctet.nic.in.
- Click on ‘Apply Online.’
- Complete the application form with personal and academic details.
- Upload a scanned photograph (4KB – 100KB) and signature (1KB – 25KB) in JPG format.
- Make the payment of the application fee through credit, debit, or e-challan.
- Keep a printout of the application form for reference.
CTET 2024 Application Fees
The application fee varies based on the candidate’s category and the number of papers applied for:

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
To be eligible for CTET for primary classes (I to V), candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- 12th passed with 50% marks and a two-year teaching diploma.
- 12th passed with 45% marks and a two-year teaching diploma as per NCTE regulation 2002.
- 12th passed with a minimum of 50% marks and completed a four-year Bachelor of Teaching (B.EL.ED).
- Completed 12th examination with not less than 50% marks and passed or is in the final year of a two-year diploma in Education.
- Completed Graduation and cleared or is pursuing the final year of a two-year diploma in teaching.
For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
For teaching in upper primary classes (VI to VIII), candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Passed Graduation and cleared or is pursuing the final year of a two-year diploma in teaching.
- Completed Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or is pursuing a one-year Bachelor in Education.
- Completed Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and cleared or is pursuing a one-year Bachelor in Education as per NCTE rules and regulations.
- Passed Graduation with 50% marks and cleared or is pursuing a Bachelor in Education.
- Completed Graduation with 50% marks and passed in the final year of a four-year Bachelor in teaching.
- Completed 12th examination with 50% marks and also passed the final year of B.Sc/B.A or B.Sc.Ed/B.A.Ed (four-year duration).

CTET Admit Card 2024
- Candidates can download the e-admit card from the official CTET website.
- No physical admit cards will be sent via post.
- Candidates must keep multiple printouts of the hall ticket and verify the details, reporting time, and exam venue.
- No candidate will be allowed to take the test without a valid hall ticket.
CTET Exam Centers 2024
- Each exam city will have multiple exam centers for CTET.
- The center allotted to candidates will not be changed.
- Candidates can choose three exam centers of their choice during online registration.
- CBSE reserves the right to allot, add, or cancel examination centers.
